Our Story
Shorter Timlin Archivists was founded in 2012. Rebecca qualified in 2004 and has worked as both an archivist and records manager in a number of institutions, including Gloucestershire Archives, St Edmund Hall in Oxford, the Diocese of Gloucester and Gloucester Cathedral. She is currently archivist for Gloucester Cathedral and is also responsible for the historic library. Helen qualified in 2011 and worked at Gloucestershire Archives, assisting the public with enquiries, cataloguing, and writing and leading workshops and tours for more than ten years whilst studying for her master’s degree. She now works full-time for the business.

Ours is a client-led approach that is bespoke to your needs. We will work to your goals and ensure we meet your requirements, whether you wish us to take full ownership of your project or involve you at every step.
Our Team
Our core team includes two qualified archivists, Helen Timlin BA(Hons) MScEcon and Rebecca Phillips Née Shorter BA (Hons), MARM. We supplement our expertise with associates and digitisation consultants. Every project is led by Helen or Rebecca, who maintain direct client communication throughout the engagement.
Service Area
While our office is located in Gloucestershire, England, we regularly work with clients throughout the United Kingdom and abroad. We are available for both on-site and remote consulting engagements.
