Cataloguing and Collections Management
We provide a comprehensive range of services that transform unorganised collections into well-documented, accessible archives. We can work with private, public and institutional Archives and no collection is too large or too small.
Survey & Assessment - We can offer initial assessments to determine the extent, type and condition of material, followed by comprehensive surveys including retention scheduling and collecting priorities.
Arrangement & Description - We can create physical and intellectual arrangements that follow ISAD(G) archival principles. Box lists or full catalogues can be created in Word, Excel or dedicated archival software, as preferred.
Collections Management - We can advise on the most appropriate Collections Management System (CMS) to manage the physical and digital records in your personal or public archive, museum collection or library.
Repackaging & Preservation - All material will be packaged into archival-quality folders and boxes with appropriate labelling and environmental control recommendations.
Digitisation Services - We work with trusted firms to project manage the digitisation of collections, including the labelling and storage of images and the creation of finding aids.
Training & Workshops - We can provide staff training on archival principles, preservation techniques, and collection management.
Historical Research
Land and Property History and Ownership - We have extensive experience of researching land, property and buildings in private, public, institutional and ecclesiastical contexts; supporting archaeological and heritage projects; and assisting with legal matters, including searching for documentary evidence and researching land and property titles. We can present the results of our research in any format and at any length required.
Family History - We can provide genealogical research, from producing full family histories to helping fill gaps in your existing research.
Subject History - We can provide bespoke research on any subject, place or period, including sourcing archival material where primary evidence or documentary illustration is required.
Outreach and Heritage
Outreach - We can research, create and deliver talks, tours, workshops and exhibitions on any subject and in support of any project. These can be bespoke to your aims and requirements, or we can deliver one of our existing options.
Heritage Projects - We can undertake research to support your heritage project, assist and advise on curating and displaying archives, artefacts and artworks to promote your heritage project. We can produce dedicated talks, tours, workshops and exhibitions which we can deliver for you or train your team to deliver in-house.

Hourly Consulting - We offer hourly and daily rates, which provide a flexible option for both one-off tasks and ongoing support. Whether you need a single source checked or have a long-term project in mind, no job is too big or too small.
Project-Based - We can undertake fixed projects to your deliverables and timelines.
Retainer Arrangements - We also have the option of monthly retainer agreements for institutions needing regular archival or heritage support.
